Turquoise and Sparkle

January 25, 2011

I’ve been on the prowl for a good wallet for some time now, but I was just never willing to put on my big girl pants and fork out the cash. Some wallets can even cost more than it’s purse counterpart! Something I don’t quite understand (nor ever will), but oh well. Anyway, I’ve been carrying around a silver Deena & Ozzy wallet since this past summer, when I managed to pick it up for 5 bucks out of a sale bin at Urban. While it’s served it’s (temporary) purpose, it’s time for an upgrade, and lucky for me, Tory Burch was having a huge sale (read: half off) at a trunk show. Coincidence? I think not. So when I found this little gem, I was in love. And it was a deal too good to turn down. Even if half-price Tory Burch is still a tad out of my price range, I can live on soup and cereal for a week or two. You gotta do what you gotta do.

With even more good news… my free Zoya nail polishes finally came in! So if you ordered some, be expecting them any day now! I brightened up my Monday with Gloria.

Needless to say, it was a great start to the week!

In other news…

With class in session and the work load increasing, I’m finding there to be less and less hours in the day. Thus leading to late nights, all too much caffeine, and then finally to a tired, somewhat cranky girl. And we just can’t have that. Gotta get those 8 hours of beauty rest! But more importantly, I want each and every post to be well put together, relevant, and sincere. So my dear readers, I may have to cut back a tad on the posts. I can promise you I will try my best to keep up, but I do need to get my priorities in order, and with that comes my college degree first! Here’s to hoping for straight A’s this semester! If you have any study secrets you want to share with me (as I tend to get really ADD) I’d love to hear.

Don’t forget to vote for me (if you’d like that is!) for Refinery 29’s next style blogger!

Omg. LOVE this wallet! I’ve had an Urban Outfitters wallet for YEARS now and need an upgrade myself. Ah…these one makes me all sorts of happy inside. I have a minor obsession with Tory Burch but can hardly afford the items. I’m coveting this wallet 🙂

That wallet is GORGEOUS!!! I love it! I would live on cereal for a month if I could get that wallet, what a major SCORE! I totally agree about the workload this semester, I just try to get everything done as far ahead as I can so I can still enjoy going out!

So adorable! I hope you rebel against this nasty, drab weather by flaunting it! I love when you find that perfect piece of clothing or accessory and just know that sacrificing some meals is completely and utterly worth the unexplainable joy you feel from owning that item! Freshman year I had this terrible habit of spending half of my grocery money on clothing and the other half on food. That didn’t really work out… for obvious reasons.

The Tory Burch is nice and you picked a fantastic colour. Think of it this way, it will probably or should out last anything that you’d have picked up on the high street so even if you do have to live off cereal for a while, in the long run you’ll be saving some money.

I feel you on the cutting back, work and normal life have caught up with me so I’ve recently cut back on my posting, it makes me think harder though to come up with better posts when I do update my blog.

Ummmm, OBSESSED. Your new wallet is too cute! I have a Coach one that I picked up probably 6 years ago at a consignment store and it is officially falling apart. Time for me to shell out too, I suppose. Maybe a Tory one; you know how I’m obsessed.

And trust me, ladybug, no one can understand your college pressure like me… It’s brutal! I highly recommend cutting back if that’s what you need to do; I usually write my posts on weekends and schedule them for later in the week. Good luck, dear!
