Office Space

January 19, 2011

The name of this post is ironic, because I don’t really have an office space, but rather a small corner in my room of my apartment. So let’s say it’s approximately 5′ x 5′ (and that’s generous). What I want to do is make the best of my space. I want to make it functional and inspiring all at the same time. I found these office spaces to do just that! I’m taking notes…

I want to start doing inspiration boards just like this one! They bring a creative vibe to the area and really make it the focal point of your room.

Simplicity at it’s finest!

This might be my all time favorite. The robins egg blue complete with the floral background and white accents. Swoon.

Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere just might be the queen of the “less is more” concept. Also, adoring the color combination in this room.

I’ve decided this is a must. I need to have some kind of organization to my magazines while also having them on display. (They’re so pretty to look at!) I’m about to get vulnerable here too… this is what my poor magazines and sketch books look like at the moment…

I know, it’s a tad cluttered and embarrassing, but I’m working on it, I promise! I’m hoping to reevaluate and revamp my desk area in the very near future, and maybe then I’ll share some more photos!

Oh, and if you have any tips, please feel free to float them my way!

I’m hardcore obsessed with anything Cupcakes and Cashmere — how fantastic is her office? But I think my favorite is that blue one with the closet doors! Such a good way to use a tiny bit of space.

In love with that pink chevron lamp. Chevron is my current weakness!
It’s hard to have an amazing “office” space in an apartment where there’s limited space for everything. A house someday is going to feel great!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the red flower/tree/bird wallpaper in the first picture! The pop of red just seems so inspiring and fresh…and a office makeover is definitely a great way to build inspiration. I think pretty space = pretty thoughts!
